Advocacy and raising awareness of the need for full inclusion of young people in the life and ministry of the Church are important parts of PLSE’s work.  In order to do this, the PLSE Missioner attends various meetings and events which encourage adult leaders and entities of the Church to consider possible ways to make that happen.  The Rev Miguelina Espinal will be attending the following events:

 Faith Formation Summit 2008 - May 01-03, Estes Park, Colorado. This Conference is for those who minister with children and youth.  It will offer a large selection of seminar and workshops to assist staff and volunteers who strive for effective and excellent faith formation ministry.   To learn more about the event, visit their website.

 Nuevo Amanecer - June 30th- July 03, Atlanta Georgia.  Nuevo Amanecer is a gathering organized by the Office for Latino/Hispanic Ministries in the Episcopal Church.  It is an opportunity to encounter, networking and formation for the Hispanic leaders of the Church.  The PLSE Missioner will lead a workshop on Discernment and the Ordination Process.
